It seems that the first ever hack of a 3DS game has been announced, we can't say when this will be released but proof of concept code has been shown to a select few in the community in case Nintendo decide to C+D it like Squenix did for Crimson Shadows.
A Japanese hacking team comprising of veterans Ichiyo, Getsu and Aho Mario have shown off a preliminary hack of the Japanese version of New Super Mario Bros 2 running on a flash card on an American 3DS. Its not perfect at the moment crashing out at level 4-1 but its thought that future upgrades maybe able to bypass Nintendo lock outs for good.
